Meet the Author: Robert Ayre

Originally from Northeast England, Bob has spent a large part of his career in Construction Contracts and Commercial Management overseas. With may years in the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa, Bob has also lived and worked in Southeast Asia in multiple countries.

A keen armature historian, Bob noticed that in many regions he was working in no real combined guide existed on the exploits of notable characters from history who had been active there. Being a fairly pragmatic sort of bloke, Bob decided to put that right and write Walking in the Footsteps of TE Lawrence, and so the series of books was born.

Bob is currently resident in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.
